What is Mitzvah Tools?What is
Mitzvah Tools?

We at Mitzvah Tools firmly believe that every synagogue with a B'nai Mitzvah program deserves the latest technology that will help students, families, educators, clergy, and synagogue management personnel make their program vibrant and successful. In an age where even the youngest child seems to pick up computer technology readily, we think it’s time that synagogues have an application that utilizes the latest technological tools to guide students on their journey. We are committed to making Mitzvah Tools just such as application. We are committed to supporting each synagogue and its users towards achieving that goal.

  1. Dan Moskovitz

    Rabbi Dan Moskovitz

    Founder and CEO

Rabbi Dan Moskovitz is a leading innovator in Jewish technology. He created Mitzvah Tools originally for his congregation’s use, and then brought it to other congregations. Mitzvah Tools is only one of his creations, each of which has given synagogues technology that never existed before. Being a Rabbi in a congregation with a large number of B'nai Mitzvah students, these products were created with an intimate and hands-on knowledge of the needs and challenges of the students, educators and clergy of these congregations. Rabbi Moskovitz has, since the creation of the first version of Mitzvah Tools, promoted and supported the product, making it possible for current users to benefit.

  2. Mark Britowich

    Mark Britowich

    Director of Sales and Operations

    Former Cantor at Temple Judea

Cantor Mark Britowich recently joined with Rabbi Moskovitz, after leaving 20 years of full-time synagogue work. From Mitzvah Tools’ infancy, he has worked with Rabbi Moskovitz in bringing MT to congregational use. During most of these years, Cantor Britowich ran the B'nai Mitzvah program at a large congregation with more than 150 children being brought to Torah each year. His knowledge of the B'nai Mitzvah process – scheduling students, arranging tutors, coordinating with clergy, keeping parents actively involved and informed, preparing resources and tracking progress - using Mitzvah Tools throughout this time to make the B'nai Mitzvah program a success.
